Should I practice Ashtanga yoga twice a day? I love practicing yoga 1st thing in the morning (6am) and after work in the evening. Saturday is my day of, and sundays i only practicein the morning (11am) . My morning practice is a hardy ashtanga/mysore practice (i do full primary series).
In the evening I like to experiment with different styles including jivamukti, anusara and the ashtanga 2nd and 3rd series for more advanced backbends and arm balances. I have been admonished and praised for practicing twice a day…

Is Hatha or Ashtanga yoga easier on the body? My mum, grandmother and I are going to take a yoga class together, the options at our gym are Hatha or Ashtanga Yoga.
I am wondering which is the best introduction into yoga, I’m 16 but fairly strong and flexible but my mum had a baby 9 months ago and my grandmother’s coming up 77 so we don’t want anything too vigorous.
